Default How to: Install Damn Small Linux, On USB pendrive

How do you do it? i want to install Damn Small Linux on my USB pen flashdrive, so i can boot from it.

http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/

I have been looking, but there are lots of different file types to download. im not sure what to download?

Also... do you have to put the DSL files in the root of the USB pendrive? or can i put it all in a folder?

Forgive me if I'm a little off but you have to reformat your pendrive to a fat32 or a ext2 or 3 for linux. Then you have to install it via boot of the linux live cd and then make sure the files are on the pen drive. Its kind of given from there.

It is so simple. You burn the DSL ISO to a CD, boot from it and once you are booted from the Live CD there is an option to install it on a pen drive.

To do it manually you have to get a utility that will format it with a boot sector on the USB drive. HP actually has a really nice tool to do this. Once you do that you can extract the ISO to the pen drive. I have done it both ways.

You may also want to check out backtrack they have a full live cd and usb pen drive version.
