emachine cpu upgrade

I currently have a T1440 emachine with a 1.40Ghz Intel Celeron Processor. Is it possible to upgrade the cpu or just buy a new system.

I'm sure it's upgradable, but by how much I can't say. Download CPUz and post some information. We need to know the socket/package, and the chipset(mainboard tab)

Yea chances are unless it is really new you would only be able to go as far as a p4 maybe a Pentium D. None the less you would probably see a difference. Good luck.

its not even worth it, i have an emachine with a celeron and i looked inside, it has 128mb of RAM, intergrated graphics, and i was like this is worthless. its not nearly the main computer though, its just there. so definately get a new one if you want it to last
