Problem with DVD-Rom

My DVD-rom cannot read the 2nd DVD of Myst 4 and while installing Warcraft 3 I get this message:

E:\war3.mpq
Error 0x0000001F : A device attached to the system is not functioning (FileUtil.cpp:816)

What does this mean? Help me please.

Oh forgot. Spare me the update your driver, clean your lens, restart the computer, format stuff. Tried it all. Sounds like a hardware problem. I was wondernig what it was before I cracked it open.

What model exactly do you have? Firmware rev? ASPI?
