Hey guys! I had my computer for a long time now and now is that i have experienced some major problems...
Alright, heres whats up... When i try to play a Sound/Music from Media Player, It works great! But a Video, My computer would go EXTREMELY SLOW! and everything would lag! After waiting for a min or two, to wait for my Task Manager to open to see whats the problem, All my programs seems to have low CPU usage like 4 or less. But the Explorer.exe would be around 98+, But i know i cant shut that down, My computer would shut down as well. After a while, My taskmgr.exe(Task Manager) would start having a 98+ CPU Usage! I close the Task Manager and still experience this horrible lag. Like 3 mins later, My Computer would shut down... and restart. When i log on, I would be brought to a Microsoft page telling me my computer crashed about some memory or something and it cannot be fixed ![]() Virus Scan, did it, and all these other things but failed... Also updated my Windows Media Player(v11). My computer is REALLY fast, but when this media thing plays, its bad... Also when i opened my Web Camera and preview it, it also Lags bad! So i guess i have a Video/Media problem. I have a Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.40GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM GEFORCE 6800 XTreme 256 MB AGP 8X DDR3 Graphics/Video Card and a very old sound card that never had any updated drivers(but it was working before when i had it). I am a Video Game Player, As you can see. Well, There is my computer stats... I hope you guys heard about this problem before because not viewing videos is bad, especially when i Develop and Edit Videos ![]() If you guys need anything els, Please ask, I would be looking at this post frequently, Thanks Guys for the help, Really much appreciated! |

Trust me, the processor is more than enough for this stuff.
It could be a few things. My first guess would be software related. Try doing virus and spyware scans while in safemode. If this doesn't help any you might want to find some hard drive diagnostics tools. I kind of doubt it's the drive with your CPU usage so high, but the problems do somewhat resemble a dying HD. I suppose it could also be a bad GPU. They can do some weird things when they're on their last leg...
