Well, they were out of stock before. About the only place was Ebay (where you could get them), and you had to pay an arm and a leg.

Most places dont have them instock, but yes, they do retail for $599.

And Newegg doesnt ship to Canada.

You sure? Everywhere I go they only have a few Wii's in stock, and they usually sell out once they announce it. I have yet to see a PS3 available in any stores around here.
