Default I cannot install Vista x64 on partioned drive

Hi,

I just bought Vista Home x64. On XP Pro (x86), I partitioned my raptor 74gb hdd with partition magic. I have c and g assigned to the two nearly equal (34.5gb) partitions. I have them both assigned as the primary drive. When I boot to the vista 64 disk and try to install to the correct partition I get "doesn't meet windows drive criteria" or something. I have installed the vista 64 flawlessly on a separate Maxtor hdd.

So, then why can't I install the Vista 64 OS as a multiple OS on a separate partition on my Raptor 74gb hdd?
