Change of ip address requires change of location for the most part. An ip address is unique to where you connect from just like a street address. Even changing rooms in one location will see most of the same address.

Uhh... not correct.

Your ip address changes with each connection you make (unless you pay for a static ip address). If you have DSL or CABLE all you need to do it reset the modem.

You can also use Proxies to make it look like you have a different IP address.

The term most of but not exact can be seen when moving from one connection on a router to another where some portion remains the same due to the same account and physical connection of the host. For hiding ip addresses in order to "ghost surf" which can help cut down on spam there are several that simply hide the ip or misdirect through a random series of "bogus" addresses. You first connect to one server that then allows you to connect as a phantom for invisible browsing there.

If you are trying to change your address due to being bombarded by spam your email account will still see it. That will still come into Outlook Express if that is what you generally use. Even changing your user name by creating a different alias doesn't seem to have any effect once the original account is found active by trackers. For invisible browsing... ? ... ? who's there? ...? programs like HideIP are available. For spam filters and Block Sender lists!
