I had a read through the Mobo 101 at the head of this page. I noticed all the boards recommended were Socket AM2.
Now, I have a Athlon 64 3500+ (skt 939) and my motherboard recently packed up on me . I was wondering is this CPU compatible with AM2 (I haven't really been into all of this since I last upgraded...been a while, so this may be a silly question)? If not can anyone recommend a high-end skt 939 mobo? Cheers.

Sorry, but that processor is only compatible with 939 boards, you would have to buy a socket AM2 cpu. Here is a nice 939 board however http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131540
