Default Can updateing ur BIOS lower cpu temp??

Well i donno if this is the reason or not but my cpu tempture has lowered since i updated my BIOS is this possable and has anyone ever heard of this my 'AMD x2 4800+' use to run at 40 degrees C idleing and like up to 45 degrees C on Load now its like droped 10 degrees im pretty happy bout jst woundering why this happened it idles at 30 degrees and 35 on load and its not jst a one off its been those temptures since i updated my BIOS like 4 days ago

Usually they provide a document with the new adds to the new BIOS.
And usually its a support for a new processor or something of that nature.
So check the document to know what's new in that BIOS update.

hmm whats the mobo, it could be that the update brought on support for quite 'n cool technology on all the amd64+ lines, plus some others
