Your log isn't coming up with anything as far as viruses or other malwares are concerned. System slowdowns can be seen for a number of reasons. As you continually make software changes by adding and removing programs over a period of time the system registry becomes loaded with no longer needed and often problem entries left there.
Your log that a good cleaning of the registry would be a big help there. You can also reduce the number of things that automatically load along with Windows when first starting the system with the msconfig utility included in Windows. You would type msconfig at the Run prompt and press the enter key or click the ok button. The startup group is the last tab on the right side. For a free registry cleaner that installs easily and works on all versions of Windows(uncertain but likely on Vista) go to http://www.majorgeeks.com/RegCleaner_d460.html |
