Default asappsrv.dll

Hi everyone,

Recently my mom messed up her computer, like old people do, and now I can't start her comp started. Upon Windows start up I get the error message:

Bad Image
c:/WINDOWS/d2lsbGlhbQ/asappsrv.dll

I've researched the asappsrv.dll and it appears to be a ad-war program.
I can boot the comp in safe mode but the I can't run McAfee(Total Protection) which I install right before this problem started.

And I can't seem to find the file manually, with hidden folders shown, nor can I find the file with search.

Any help would be much appreciated, I'm more of a hardware guy.

Thanks,
Marine_Bryan

You'll be in good shape fast with the remover found for the CmdService "bug" you can download at http://www.spywareremove.com/removeCmdService.html

This particular adware is one of those that likes to keep those zinger popup ads coming up on your screen! Another "bug blaster" under review here includes a personal firewall to block unwanted startups. Spyware Terminator is free at http://www.spywareterminator.com/

Now as far as McAfee is concerned... "DUMP IT"! That's one of the worst offenders calling itself a what? AVG, AnVir, Avast, and a few others besides ignoring Norton as well go a lot further. The latest free version of Grisoft's AVG 7.5 along with the former Ewido now AVG Anti-Spyware Remover can be found at http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng...i-spyware-free
