View Single Post - Q: Can I remove a program's (tray) icon from the taskbar?

Right Click on the task bar > select 'Properties' > In the Notification Area click on 'Customize' > Find the icon and set the behavior to 'Always Hide'.
That will remove the icon from the system tray but it will keep the program running
