I'm not a very experienced computer guy... and when I recieve a zip file it doesn't have the WinRAR icons like all the others rar, lzh... and when I try to configure how to associate zip files in WinRAR... the checkboxes reset everytime I open up the Options menu... Also I've tried to register the zip filetype in Folder Options>File Types but it doesn't register... somebody help!

Try right clicking on a .zip---Open With---browse to Winrar---and check the box that says "remember associations for this file type".
That may do it...though I don't know why the other ideas did not work ![]()
