cheap sound card options

Hey I am looking to get a sound card, nothing fancy, just something to get better sound then the onboard sound, (ASUS P4SD-LA) I really dont want ot spend anymore then 50$ at the high end, I play a few games like CIV4, AOE3, and Total War 2, My wife listens to music, quite a bit. If you all need anymore info, or have any suggestions let me know, thanks

i once bought a random PCI sound card of ebay for £5. it was great, cant tell the difference between it and the soundblaster card im using now.

I wouldnt bother buying a cheap one.....because you wont notice much differance from onboard sound.

But you will notice a huge improvement in sound quality if you buy a decent one like what my friend does...

he has a SoundBlaster XFi Pro XtremeGamer (64MB) and its great but expensive.

You could get this one for only £49.99
