What do you guys think about these two possible setups?
One being $800 for two SLI 8800GTS vs. the other being a single $600 factory overclocked EVGA 8800GTX? The single GTX would leave the possibility open to add a second GTX down the road for improved performance, of course. But obviously there's a possibility that time will never come, and i'll just stick with what i already have. So, which would perform better? Two GTS, or a single GTX? And how much of a difference do you think it would make? Especially since most games aren't even SLI compatable, so i would be using a SINGLE card MOST of the time, so it may be of benefit to have a single, faster card...... Suggestions? |

I would save your money personally. If you really feel the need to have a 8800 I would just get one GTS. But thats my opinion. If I were you I would have a look at some benchmarks, specs, etc... here is one for example http://www.legitreviews.com/article/413/1/ And see if it is really worth the money!

In fact, when i got my current computer, it was a $2500 computer, but only came with an x300 (the 9800 was already out) because ATI didn't have any of their top of the line cards available for PCI-express yet (PCI-X had just started to catch on in fall of 2004) |
