Default Audigy 4 problems

Sorry...but this card has been nothing but problems for me. When I play NR2003 (racing simulation) the sound quality is poor. I constantly get system errors that require me to restart my system. I've tried everything. I've changed what pci slot it's in, I've re-installed the drivers. Now I don't even get any sound at all. When I adjust the volume on my headset I can tell I'm turning it up because it makes this weird sound like air is blowing into the headphones. Everything is plugged up correctly. My microphone works, but I get no sound. I've tried everything...tried a different headset. I'm really thinking about returning it, and hopefully get an upgrade. How can I go back to onboard sound? I unistalled everything to do with the onboard sound, and I tried it a few weeks ago and couldn't get any sound after I took out the sound card. How can I go back to onboard sound? I really just want to get some kind of sound with or without the sound card. I've tried taking the card out and re-installing the drivers, but I still cannot get onboard sound to work. Could someone please tell me the steps on how to get onboard sound to work? I un-installed everything to do with onboard sound when I installed my Audigy 4.

If I can get a refund for my Audigy 4, I would like to buy this card from Best Buy because I have a $20 gift card to there.
