Default 45nm CPU's are here

well in the second half of 2007, 820 million transistors, all new HK+MG transistor, that is right a new kinda transistor, increase clock speed and reduce power consumption at the same time, and single die quad core in the middle of 2008 too

read more about it here

Thats very good news

Intel will kick AMD's ass. Intel is preparing for 45nm but AMD is still using their ancient 90nm

AMD will be on to 65nm this year, they are about a year behind intel in manufacturing process.

I hope they are as good as they look... they will be using the long awaited 1333MHz FSB, right?

Ah, I thought they had released some back in november or something but was too lazy to check for myself Either way it doesn't matter that much, AMD is starting to catch Intel in manufacturing process but as I said before, they are still about a year behind

They already are

They already began to sell the X2 3600+ on Newegg, which is a 65nm process.

And it's this year right?

They had engineering samples out late mid-late last year didn't they?
