I run into this often and use a few things when first closing a second window and reopening it to see it full screen. One method is to maximize the browser window to full screen and then close it out while holding the Ctrl key down. Another method is to maximize it fully or grab the edges and exit through the menu rather then clicking on the X box in the corner and then press the F5 button after. This is good when you have a link to reclick on. Give these a try.

this is how I fix it.

-Close all instances of your bowser but one
-Right click a link on any web page and select "open in new window"
-Close the original page (the one where you launched the link)
-Now manually resize (grab edges) the new window to the size you want. Do not use the maximize button
-close
-reopen

note:it's important that the resized window is the only browser browser page open when you finish and close

that should fix it. It has something to do with the last known size not being saved in your registry.

hope it works

That would be "Remember each folder's view settings" and "Remember previous folder at Windows logon" found in the tools>folder options menu in explorer. Make sure those have a check mark next to them anyways.

What worked? Did you find the folders options or another method seeing results there?
