Default Ram Dual Channel question

Hi, Everyone,

The latest M/B nowadays often have four channel for DDR2 Ram.
I would like to ask, if I am now building a computer now with 512MB x 2 667MHz.
Will it be ok to add another pair of RAM later which are different brand, different Speed (say 800Mhz), and different Size (say 2 x 1 GB)?
