Default Monitor Problem

Hey, I am running Dual Display on an ASUS AX700 Pro video card. The two monitors are a Metro M-19SL nad a NEC 19V, both 19". Ok, the problem, one monitor (primary) goes blank while the secondary flashes on and off. Both monitors have their green lights on so its not as if they are turning off. It's not a hardware problem, the system has been running fine for 2 years now. I recently bought it from a friend with only the addition of a WINTV card to it. That is not the cause, I have taken the card out and the problme persists. I have tried a reinstall and updated to video card and monitor drivers with still no end to the problem. I know the Metro monitors have been known to be buggy so I have a feeling that may be the cause. The problem is random, it can happen at any time but I have noticed it to only occur while in the OD (not a game) and utilizing the internet in some way (MSN, browser). I am currently trying the system with just the NEC plugged in to see if it is something to do with DUAL display, if the problem doesn't come up, I am going to switch the monitors around and just try the Metro.

Any other suggestions/possible knowledge to the origins of the problem would be of great help. One more thing, the OS is still functional during the monitor problems, I can still do what ever is running on the computer at the time, I.E. use MSN, Word, etc.
