Hello,
I like to play the online shockwave game 'mycoke'. it is found here. www.mycoke.com I am a very powerful person on the game but my computer is really horrible with it. It lags like crazy, and it's really slow reacting when i move, type/talk, and etc. I have a Hewlett Packard Kayak XM600. Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2 Intel Pentium III processor 532MHz 256MB of RAM Now i wanted to find out what i have to upgrade to make this little shockwave game run smoother, since it is VERY VERY slow and impossible to work with. My sister and father have HP PIIII laptops and they both run smoothly. I know this is a computer forum so im assuming people will give me extremely high end suggestions, but i just want a simple thing just to make it run so that it's able to work with, i dont need extreme high end speed, just smooth enough. I dont know if it is my internet connection since my sister and father share the same connection with me and it works smoothy on theirs. What can i upgrade or do to fix this? Thanks a lot. Isaac |

I suggest you get a 512mb stick of RAM at least. That should give it a nice boost.

More ram running XP would help, plus you didnt say what kind of video card you had, have you done a disk cleanup and defraged in awhile?

RAM and a faster video card would help. Defragging might help a little, doesn't really have to do a lot with the hard drive though. I'd just recommend getting more RAM, you probably don't have get a new video card. Just RAM.
