Question What make RAID 0 delete all files just because of a lose wire???

I have had people tell me before that you will lose all your data in RAID 0 if a SATA cable came undone...whyis this? What on Earth could make it lose all your data just because of a lose wire???

I think they mean if you disconnect the SATA cable when the computer is on, theres no reason you cant do that when you shut down the computer.

I Know I have 4 of those metal clip ones, thing is I dont care about doing it, I just want to know why it does this. To me, I see no real resons for the data loss to happen, I want to know why, not how to prevent it.

hmm... so,. you are Actually asking that if the Data connection cable, between the motherboard and the HDD is disconnected why you lose the data? I'm sorry.. But that just really seems like a no-brainer to me.. =o

How is that a no brainer? If you disconnect a running drive that isn't in RAID you don't lose all of the data...

Well then would you mind sharing it to me? To me, I would think all the data would be on the HDD. What makes it corrupt or what ever. Why cant you just plug it back in and all is well?
