My system doesnt have a soundcard,Only onboard audio but thats fine so i think that 2.1 speakers would be fine.

It may be 5.1, but its not true directional 5.1. For that you will need a new sound card.

As for those speakers, I have the 5.1 equivalent (as far as I know). I have the x530. I absolutely love them! Great bass I have mine only turned up half way and it still shakes my shelfs. The two front speakers are pretty loud also, and I only have them a quarter of the way up. I will agree with some other reviews. The back and middle speaker are a little quite...but I guess you dont care about those .

Logitech makes pretty dependable peripherals, I think.

ya, they're nice.

the subwoofer on my 5500's is a little overpowered, and tuned a bit too high, so don't go too crazy with insanely low test tones, or anything.

For 99% of music, tho, you can just crank it

it just doesn't have any sort of subsonic filter to speak of, so it IS possible to damage it by playing excessively low tones (40hz and below)
