OK, I have a real crappy cell phone. It's one of those outdated model pre-paid ones, and I've dropped it so many countless times that the outside is all scratched to hell. I think I'd like to do something to it, but I'm not sure what. It must remain in functional order. I thought about LEDs, but I don't want to kill the battery life, so I think I'm going with non electrical modifications. The only thing I can think of right now, is just take it apart (done before... it's been through the wash 3 times now), and spray paint the case, probably black. I'd like it to be computer themed, so I'll probably just stick a Core 2 sticker or something on it. This is pretty plain, but I'm open to suggestions. Also, I'm not against using a dremel, as long as the phone remains just as functional before hand as after. I'll try to post pictures of my unmodified phone tomorrow.
Also, how could I make it so the paint would be less likely to chip off? Should I sand it first, and is the stronger paint? |

OMFG, this would be sweet, although I'd like to do it with something else, not just an exact copy, but the same idea? Any suggestions... nothing too bulky. Again... maybe something computer related... |

Well you said computer related...So I looked to my left and there I saw a usb cord. You could always make a giant usb phone. Just the end of the cord though, no actual cord would be used. Just the end. I hope you're not too confused and you know what I'm talking about.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean, but I don't have that much talent. I couldn't create something like that from scratch. I like the idea of using an empty case, like the NES controller, though. Any ideas like that?

Yeah..and most people don't even know what a laptop hard drive looks like. they'd be really confused as to why you're putting a hunk of metal to your ear.
