Static sound

This is a completely different computer I'm refering to, unrelated to my previous post. This computer always produces static sounds throught the speakers, don't know why. Any reason why?
Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried different speakers?

Have you tried cleaning the connection to the sound card (the cord connector)? And does it happen consistantly when you have the computer on, or only at certain times? And as said before, try the speakers (A) on another computer and other speakers (B) on the computer. If A works fine on the other computer, then it's the card, if B works fine on the computer, then it's the speakers (A).

Would cleaning the connection involve taking apart the computer? How would I do that? I've tried different speakers, it's the computer.
