As long as your board has the right port free (SATA or IDE(PATA)) it will be fine.

As Cromewell said, make sure your motherboard has the right interface to support it, it really doesnt matter what processor you have.
It's pretty much a guarantee that you have IDE ports (PATA), but you more then likely have at least 2 SATA ports as well.
