since downloading ie7 am having trouble with certain emails that r sent o me, in a way that when asks toopen or save whicever you click just opens up another tab on ie and asks same question again.
you cant get to read the email/download. is this because if ie7. heard so many people saying ie7 is rubbish and that ie6 is better to have.would i be better of going back to ie6??? |

not much a computer buff but this is what happens...when downloading an attachment on email it comes up with file download open or save. when you select either it opens up with..windows internet explorer and then gives u the option to open or save again and you still cant see the downloaded item. if u save it to desktop then try and open it, it comes up with windows internet explorer etc....

If you really dont want the problems with IE, then try Firefox 2! i have had IE6, just got IE7, and they both pale in comparison with FF2. Seriously consider it if you dont want the problems. I consider it to be the best browser i have ever used.

It sounds like for some reason your computer has made IE7 the default application for opening files of a particular extension type. Like patrickv mentioned before it would probably be best if you could tell us the extension of the file. Also what e-mail application are you using?
