Default Oh crap

Ok, so I got an overclocking program called clock gen. Im not sure how but I managed to drop the clock to the lowest setting. PC locked I rebooted twice then got it back on, seems with no issues. I deleted Clock GEN and removed all the registry stuff associated with it.

Heres the issue. Ive been having sopme gaming issues, namely extreme chopiness. I used to use the MSI overclock thing and the default for my core clock was 1400 mhz. I opened it again and im set at 700.......I cant even scale it back up to my old default of 1400, please help me

ANother new devfelopement is that I cant seem to get lists of pics to download. The site comes up fine, but all the thumbnails wont load. Associated problem?

First, the issue it seems like your having is because of AMD's Cool'n'Quiet technology, which lowers the clockspeed when the processor isnt in high demand. Which would explain why its at 700Mhz. Download CPU-z, and while its open, run a program which uses alot of the processing power and see if it rises.

If it doesnt, then check your BIOS and make sure the CPU speed is set to Auto.

Ok I shut off cool n quiet. THings are still the smae. 1 correction. I have 3 sliders under the MSI DOT tab, 2d and 3d core clocks and a memory clock. THats the one thats at 700. Could this be that way because Inow have both ram channels have DIMM's in them? I jsut added 2 more 512 sticks a few days ago.

Anyone? Is my memory clock slider halved because I doubled the ram in it?
