Default Video card wont fit.....

im trying to put an nvidia p362

onto my pentium 3 wich does...have an agp port

but compaqs half assed revolutionary casing design is blocking the card from reaching the agp slot....

can i fix this by just swaping cases or breaking the back off of the damn deskpro?

or does this indicate that the two are incompatible....

It's still compatible, but it may only be an AGP 4x. Anyway, it would work either way, swapping cases would probably be the best but require the higher difficulty.

An AGP 2.0 or higher compliant motherboards. Some motherboards violate the AGP specification and therefore this card may not physically fit in some systems

The case really means nothing... If you can make it fit, go for it. Though, it still might be a good idea to double test it in the computer, if possible, before you do any major mods

It's the case, right? Not the slot?

mk i started taking it apart and found out they aparently deliberatly made the case like that to keep people from using that video card.....

i added new meaning to the word maul.....

and its in right now.....im downloading the drivers

if anyone has this problem with a compaq deskpro......just change the case.....they made this thing with ****en titanium alloy or somethn....
+ its a maze the way they put this thing together.....unclip this, take this off wile holding this then flip that around and press that button.....

never agin.....

these drivers better work...
