Hi i have an acer aspire 3002lc and i want to get it up to gaming standards i currently have:
Amd sempron 2800+ (1.6 ghz) 256mb of ram running at 333mhz shared with graphics 40gb hardrive I was thinking of putting in a 512 mb chip of ram in and running that as ram and put the other 256 dedicated to graphics would that make it run good or not really |

Depends on what you define as "gaming standards." What game specifically were you looking forward to playing on there.
As it stands now, any upgrade to that small memory will help.

you'll never get the aspire 3000 up to modern gaming standards; the graphic chip on there is probably about the worst that acer put in there machines i'm afraid.
