I got a Gateway Solo 5150 Laptop with 366Mhz & 128MBs RAM(yes I know..it's old..that's why I'm going to upgrade) and I'm trying to upgrade my CPU but I don't know what kind of FASTER CPU to buy for this kinda of computer. Plus I don't know if a faster CPU(anywhere from 600mhz-900mhz) will be compatible with other components on my laptop. I don't just wanna install any Processor & have everything go crazy. Can anyone Help me out here?

For a laptop that old it isnt worth upgrading (in fact, most older laptops cant have an upgraded processor).
For around $200+ you can buy a used/refurb computer on ebay thats a P4-M 2.4+, 256MB of RAM, 30GB HD, etc. It's much better then trying to upgrade your laptop.

Agreed. Many laptops from around those times aren't even upgradable. Or if they are, you have to find the specific processor...there's no standard or anything like with desktops.

The original processors for these notebooks were Pentium II 233, 266, 300, 333, 366, 400. Therefore, as others have stated, upgrading the CPU is really not cost effective. Now, if you are just wanting to do this as a hobby - then make sure you look over the specifications from Gateway:
