I thought win xp is cheaper than 140
you could get oem vista ultimate for 200.

If it's a gaming system you'd get better performance by dropping the CPU down to an E6300/E6400 and upgrading the video card.

That's a great PSU you've picked, but more than is required for that sort of system unless you're planning on some serious upgrades.

i'm a novice gamer, just about getting into gaming. if i start gaming seriously, i'll upgrade the gpu later. for now, it's a general purpose system, will be using this for work(weblogic app server, oracle db server, apache web server, some .net programming etc) and image editing with photoshop ps2.
