Arrow Update on new build with questions.

Antec Minuet 300 Black/Silver Steel / Plastic MicroATX Slim Case Computer Case 300W ATX12V Power Supply

GIGABYTE GA-945GM-S2 LGA 775 Intel 945G Micro ATX Intel

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe 1.86GHz LGA 775 Processor

Kingston 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model

SCEPTRE X7G-NagaVI Black 17" 8ms LCD Monitor

My main question is about the power supply, I really do want this case and setup and want to make sure 300 watts is enough, I will probably be throwing in an old x300se and a soundblasters audigy se as well. I want the smaller case to put on the desk so I can keep cables away from my daughter, who is 1 y/o.

Other than that, what so you guys think?

This computer is for my wife, for general useage, I plan on taking drives and HD's out of old comp.

Total for this is about 670.00 and I wouldn't want to spend much more than this.

a better PSU is quite necessary for this build. i suggest the link below, unless youre planning on having SATA300 in the system

Why would you need 2GB for general computer usage? I'm assuming you meant internet, email, etc.

So you're saying that a SATA2 HDD would drain considerable more power than a SATA1 or IDE?

Agreed, the XClio 450BL is a great choice for that build.

Will it fit?

I am also considering a larger case with a better psu. 2 Gigs will be necessary if you want a fast computer with vista. IMO anyways. Thank you all for the input.

No. Neither will the Coolmax.

The MT300 included in the Minuet should do the trick. A full size ATX case will give you more options for a PSU with a little more upgrade headroom.

It would, I liked the fact that it would fit nicely on my desk, I think I may have to go a different route. Appreciate the comments.
