Question Editing the NTUSER.dat file ?

Hi, can anyone tell me how I can edit the NTUSER.dat file, I'm using XP home ed. but am unable to successfully edit this file as I keep getting told the file is in use by another program ?

it's being used by windows.....

you'd almost need to install a second instance of windows to edit it
