Default external hard drive

Hi,

I intend to buy an external hard drive for backup purposes. The problem is that I already use the two usb port on my laptop for internet and camera. By installing an external hard drive it would require another usb connextion.

Does any knows how I could solve this problem and recommend me with a suitable external devise not too expensive though as I have a limited budget. Thanks

FInally what do you think about the windows backup facility is it as good as norton ghost or should I install the latter??. THis is the last one promise, can i use magic partion on this external hard drive or does it have to be on the internal one and what are the advantages. Thanks once again.

A way to solve that problem is to buy a cheap USB hub, or you could buy a Firewire external hard drive if you have a firewire port.

Why not just unplug the camera while backing up your data? Your not going to keep the drive plugged in all the time are you?

Fair enough,

is it possible to move the documents and settings to drive d:/ as i would like to use this one to keep my documents (music,..) and keep the drive c:/ with only programmes and software. Don't if it make any sense but heard that is what people usually do. What do think!? cheers

You could, but then you'd have to keep it plugged in all the time.
