Question Two network cards

My roommate left college over the break and now I have our room to myself and I was wondering, is there a way for me to add a second network card to my computer and use his ethernet jack, and set one to use for surfing the web, and the other for playing games or streaming music? If there is would there be a difference between having one and two cards condsidering they're both on the same network? I can do all this stuff at home on my cable modem but the network here sucks. My comp has windows ME.

Hmm, that is a funny one. Assuming that your campus is providing the internet for you? What you could do is change the metric on your connection to default to which one you would prefer to use

Yes the campus is providing the internet. What do you mean by changing my metric on my connection?
