Arrow Vista's "Boost"??

For those of you that know about Vista's boost upgrade, plz write back.

What does it do?
How Does it Work?
What do you need?
Does it really help much?

This is where you insert a USB flash drive into a USB 2.0 port and a balloon pops up and asks you if you want to speed up your computer. And it increases the RAM or page file or something like that. PLZ EXPLAIN

Thanks

It's suppose to increase performance by offloading some of the Page File from the hard drive, to the faster flash drive. I tried it and it really doesnt make any difference. I also ran some benchmarks and I actually got a slightly lower score with a 1GB readyboost drive.
