will Vista fix this problem?

Hi, i have been having trouble installing XP pro on my computer.(this post is not about XP pro) Here are two post on the error im getting...
SATA driver confusion.
Can someone Please help me. Please!

I just bought full Vista Home Premium but i have not opened it yet because if i do i wont be able to return it.. My question is will vista fix the problem i have(links above) and do i still need to install the drivers for my sata hdd or does vista come with the drivers already? To view my system specs look ate my sig.

it really depends on your mobob, mines is all ready they even have the 680i chipset installed.

my mobo is a gigabyte ga-965p-s3(rev1.0) and on the box it says its Vista computable.
