Exclamation Drivers For Everything?!!?

Is it true that i need drivers for every component in my computer to install a clean install of linspire OEM edition?
Like a mobo, on board video and sound, ext.
If so, lead me in the right direction please.
I have an intel mobo, model number dont know.

Btw, this is another computer i am talking about.

Should i go with WINXP Pro as a LAN party hosting OS?
Or should i go through the extra work and do the linux?

Thanks

Well you really only need drivers for the video card and sound card. But it's a good idea to get the latest chipset drivers, mouse and keyboard drivers, SATA drivers, etc.
