What is the temp of the room it is in? What thermal paste/pad/grease did you use? Did you double check the temps in BIOS or another program?

What do you mean its only under 57C load, if it got up to 76C?

Our family PC has a Celeron D 2.4 and it idles around 55C, and load is around 70-75C.

I've heard of people, including myself, having Everest misread temps. Download speedfan and see if it gives the same temps.

Go into BIOS and see what it says...that will be your most reliable reading.
