Default psu upgrade

Hi all
First post, its only a quicky.
Im currently running my computer on its original psu rated at 250w

pentium 4 2.6 845g chipset
radeon xt850 256 graphics card
2gb 333 ram ddr2
soundblaster (i think) sound card

would a psu upgrade to 600w make any noticable difference to my graphics performance?

Im not having any trouble, (crashes etc) but would expect a little oomph

Thanks for your help

Upgrading the PSU will not increase your system performance unless your system is not currently receiving sufficient power. Running your PSU at close to its maximum capacity long term will shorten the life of the unit and potentially the system, however.

Cheap PSUs - 2% of system costs, responsible for 28% of system deaths
As Sealed Stick was removed, lost or damaged, it shall be out of warranty validity.

Yeah, i see what you mean, Just a power upgrade wont do anything on its own. I suppose my question should of been "does my psu need upgrading to run this hardware?"
Im only thinking of upgrading it because when i play some graphc intensive games it slows down as it gets hotter.
