will normal RAM work on my ibook?

I am looking into getting a stick of 1gb to stick in my little ibook i have. It is the one with the 12 inch screen on it.... i found a stick of 1gb PNY makes on newegg for 93.99, but i didnt know if i had to have a "mac compatible" ram? thanks let me know.... if you dont think it will work, then link me up with the cheapest 1gb that will work, i would need a 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM PC2700

i also noticed that on my spec sheet i printed offline, it says this thing takes 200 pin so dimm ram, but the socket isnt that big. its like half the size. i need help!!!!!

200pin sodimms are short. What ibook model do you have?
