Networking Assistance

Good day I have 8 computers that need to be networked to each other we are not using a server we are using a host all emachines and they have 2.9 and should be more than powerful enough, however we are only able to connect 5 computers at a time, and then we are not able to log in it is then a eror that shows up that says all the devices that can be attached are, also we are using a netgear router, any suggestions on solutions or how this can be cured.

What is the model of the netgear router?

you router may not suppost that many computers.
