Hi people can any1 help,

My laptop (acer 2491lci) Has a Bluetooth switch on the front. But when i switch it on i just get 'No bluetooth device found' Yet my mobile phones bluetooth is turned on next to it and find me is turned on. I know my phone bluetooth works 'cos i use it with my pcs bluetooth dongle.

I went into control panel and tried turning bluetooth discovery on, But this is all i get (see piccy)



I tried plugging in my dongle thinking maybe thats what the switch is for, but nothing even if i use the dongles software, This switch seems pointless, It must be for a reason.

Please help,

i know when i connect my phone via bluetooth (Razr) i have to tell my phone to be discoverable. Then it says "discoverable for 60 seconds" then i get on my computer and tell it to do a search for bluetooth devices in the area. I'm not sure if that helps.

Thanks but no...its not the phone 'cos i also use it with my bluetooth dongle on my main pc. Its the lappy it has a bluetooth switch, But doesent seem to do anything

have you checked to make sure your computer has the appropriate drivers so it knows how to use this bluetooth adapter is aparently has?
