ADSL Speed - confused.
We got upgraded from 2MB to 8MB on friday just gone.
My modem confirms this saying: Data Rate Down / Up 8128 / 448 However, all the speed tests I have done (on UK test sites) indicate just under 2MB and downloading normal files, I am still getting in the region of 230kB /sec The new up speed however, is being reported correctly by the speed test sites. Previously is was 256. How can my modem indicate an 8MB connection but I still get 1.5MB - 2MB connection speeds? Last edited by _simon_; 02-17-2007 at 07:45 PM. |
