Default Gigabyte GA 965P DS3 Chipset Drivers?

Hello all.

Well I noticed in some of the members signatures on here that a fair few of you have this same motherboard (Gigabyte GA 965P DS3 Socket 775 PCI-E DDR2) and I was wondering where and what version drivers to download? I've never used a Gigabyte motherboard nor their website before so I'm a little confused to their layout of driver releases. The OS I'm on will be XP Pro.

I was just wondering, are these the right chipset drivers I should be using for that motherboard? Gigabyte Motherboard Page and I'm guessing that as I use the onboard sound and LAN that I need to download all three: LAN, Audio and Chipset? I take it the ones I get, if this is the right page, are the: 2nd one down for the audio, 1st one down for the chipset and 1st one down for the LAN? Are those the right ones for the motherboard specified above?

Also, what does the rev 3.3 mean?

Thanks in advance & best regards,

Breaks.

Yup, 2nd one down for Audio. First one for Chipset. First one for LAN.

Rev. 3.3 is just to signify you have a different revision of the motherboard. The early revision of this motherboard (mine) has the ALC883 audio codec, where as yours has the updated ALC888. There are also a few minor changes to the board itself.

Thanks for the reply and confirmation Rambo, much appreciated. Any idea on how you flash the bios for this motherboard? As with my old Asus I could do it from an application on my desktop.

Ahh thanks again . Would you say your just as safe doing it that way as you are from say a floppy disk etc? Is that how you do it, via the desktop program?

If done right, then the desktop way is just as effective as the classic floppy way.

I have flashed my bios from F2 to F3, to F4..... to F9 to F10, using @BIOS. Just make sure the updating process isn't interrupted. Probably a good idea to bring everything back to stock frequency/voltage if you're overclocking at all.
