I want to update my video card, but I am not sure whether my existing power supply matches the video card or not.
The video card I want is: BFG Tech BFGR76256GTOCE GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card, from Newegg.com According to the website, a 350W PCI Express compliant system power supply (with 12V current rating of 20A or more) is required. Here is my existing power supply: +12V current rating is 22A, but the max output is 305W. (This info is from the label on the power supply) If I want to update my video card, do I need to update my power supply? I also see several other video cards, but they also have this problem. They all need a 350W power supply with 12V current rating of 18A or more. Thank you. Last edited by wondchoi; 02-19-2007 at 02:06 AM. |
