Default Ever ran a red light? (USA)

Did anybody here ran a red light and got a ticket sent to your house someday later?

I am a new drive and i ran a red light tonight when i was looking for a store. Didn't know where the store was so just looked as i drove my car down the street.

They just installed all these cameras on the intersections where ever there is a light.

What are the chances that i will get a ticket?

This is very bad because my insurance is as hight as it is at the moment.

Is what you should say when they contact you.

Most states its against the law to tack points onto the owner of the car due to the fact that the camera can't tell who's driving. I've gotten more than my share of redlight tickets and speed camera tickets in DC. No points or insurance hikes but it starts adding up after a while

I've only ran one, and it was an accident.

A few intersections around here also got some new cameras installed, but they are only focused on the corners of the streets. My guess is that they are used to catch people taking a right turn on red when the "no turn on red" sign is lit up.

I got worried after i ran the red light. but i feel a little better now.

There was a little snow and it was very dark last night so i was thinking maybe they didn't see my face.

Lets wait and see.

Thank everyone for replying to my question.
