Question Free Nero 7 equivalent?

I have Vista Business and my Nero 6 isn't vista compatable. I don't want to have to buy Nero 7 after just buying Nero 6 last year, so I was wondering...is there a free, good, video editing program equivalent to Nero 7? I want to be able to import my video from my camcorder, put together a movie with menus, and burn it onto a DVD.

There is no free update from version 6 to version 7. That free update on the website is just an update to the program you have....it doesn't bump you up from version 6 to version 7....you have to purchase the upgrade, or purchase the new version if you don't have the older version.

Still searching.....any free program out there that will allow me to take my home movies and burn them onto DVD's as movies with menus and all?
