Ok my mom got a new computer a while ago and I reformatted her old one and installed WIN XP. IT worked fine for a while and was fast for an old computer. Then I stored it away for awile and now when I turn it on it beeps and nothing shows on the screen. I took out all the part and blew all the dust out and put them back in and It still does the beeping and doesn't show anything. PLease help me someone.
Its a Gateway Pentium 3 1.0 GHZ with 256MB of PC133 Ram with an ATI graphics card. I just want to use it as a extra computer. |

3 beeps means a 64k memory failure, basically, try taking the RAM out and give it a good clean, get all the dust off it and make sure there's nothing on it, but be carefull, you don't want to damage it.
What length are the beeps, like one long one and then two short ones?

Ok, try taking the RAM out and giving it a clean, if it happens still see if you can try some other RAM of the same type in the computer...
